I know NOTHING about this kind of pottery. it's very large - 15" tall and 0" wide. I just got this yesterday and would love to learn more about it. thanks.

Hello ho2, this is Chinese, Jingdezhen Made, go here:

On the upper left, click on Chinese Marks, then scroll down to Jingdezhen Zhi.
    Your mark is # 96, c. 1970. Rgards, Jim

wow! thank you jwendell222! that's amazing you found that. do you read cantonese? i'm going to look for more info about it. have you seen crystalline glazed pieces like this? it's enormous and very well made and in perfect condition.

Hi again ho2, I can barely read English (but I can order two beers in Mexico, dos cervesos, por favor). It's a very nice piece and I think a beautiful and unusual glaze for Jingdezhen but I'm far from an authority in this area. Hopefully another member will make some additions. Best of luck, Jim

i still have never seen a similar modern piece anywhere, but would love to know the value of it for insurance purposes. my agent specifically pointed it out to evaluate.
