It's Howdy Doody Time
Talking Alarm
A children's television show 1947 - 1960 on NBC featuring the 'Peanut Gallery', an on-stage bleacher seating for about 40 kids. Buffalo Bob would ask, 'Say Kids, What Time is it?' Their reply, "It's Howdy Doody Time"
Thanks for looking,
Dave

LOL! Very colorful. Howdy Doody was a little before my time but the phrase "No comments from the 'Peanut Gallery' " was still a very popular colloquialism as I was growing up. It actually came before the children's program as "Peanut Gallery" was a mildly derogatory term. Supposedly it can now refer to folks who silently lurk on social websites or chat rooms.

I remember Howdy so well. We had to wear our neck scarfs when we watched so we would be "official" kids in the peanut gallery!

WOW Love it!!! I remember going on the Howdy Doody show (also Bozo the Clown) at Radio City Music Hall in NY. Really brings back old memories.
