Liberty one dollar gold coin. Sacagewea. No date stamp on safe of coin. I received this coin as change from a candy bar. It was mistaken by the teller as a quarter. Lucky Day for ME!
Does anyone know how this error could have come about?

Sorry about that... I meant to say "face" not "safe".
The dates are on the rims of the dollar coins now.
Do you know where on the rim? I tried to look, but couldn't find one still.
Awe shucks! I thought for sure I found something. But instead I found the date... Right where you said it'll be. Well, thanks for the heads up.
I guess I should have said the edge, not rim. Look at it this way, if you got it in change as a quarter, you made a 300% profit.
