I picked up this beauty about a month ago at a local Thrift shop; The bottom indicates it was made in Germany ; maker mark on side-see picture 4-
I have no idea about this stein and would love more info please! I love it!
Oh, there are several chimps going around the stein and a chimp on part of the handle; some latin referring to Darwin.

Can someone tell me anything about this stein? It is refering to Darwin in Latin, Made in Germany? Whose "mark" is this and any idea when it was made? Love the Chimps, especially the skull on the lid and monkey wraping around the pewter(?) handle. Thanks in advance! Lyn
