This is 1920's or early 1930's Virginia Dare Wine bottle with the embossed logo and eagle over crest emblem. It is from the New York plant which makes it post-1920 but has the old cork-top neck. They changed over to metal screw caps during the 1930's. This is a 4/5 quart bottle and stands 13" tall. The only bottle mark on the bottom is the number 3. It does NOT have the Federal Law Refilling Prohibited embossment. The company that produced Virginia Dare wines was Garrett & Co., Brooklyn, NY. During prohibition they continued to produce wines and extracts for cooking purposes.
