this is awesome - sorry I don't have any helpful info for you :/
I had never seen this purse before this evening. What caught my eye was Hotel Meurice. Do you remember that book and film, "Is Paris Burning?", with Jean-Paul Belmondo? Well, the German Commander in charge of Nazi-occupied Paris, General Dietrich von Choltitz, was headquartered in the Hotel Meurice. It was a wonderful hotel of the first rank, and many illustrious and celebrity guests stayed there, including Roosevelt, Coco Chanel, etc. In any case, Anne-Marie was a designer who produced surrealist handbags (what if anything else, I don't know), and according to the "Bag Lady Emporium", it is likely that they were sold within the hotel. Anne-Marie was very visible in post-war Paris, and her vintage handbags fetch high prices at auction today. You might be able to get a better idea of the date of this handbag by examining the hardware closely, the lining, the bag label, and also the labels on the miniatures. Do they really contain alcohol? They might not. See the photo of another vintage Anne-Marie bag below.
