Here is another version of the Elgin watch display from 1940-s into early 50's . This I believe was for men to see and think oh I should buy my girl. wife or Mom or if you were a man it may show you the girl you can get if you wear and Elgin watch ? It would have sat on counter top in a jewlery store .The mannequin is about 14 inches tall whole display about 20 inches tall. They used her for a few different displays and also was used to advertise Diamonds . This is the Elgin display 2nd version

Mani, Where's the main value in something like this? Is it the doll or is it more as an advertising piece that would appeal to watch and clock collectors??
Hi toolate , The value is for both collectors really . It appeals to both , that is if the watch collector would like her and her display to showcase his or her watches .

Thank you Mikie . It was a eye catcher too. I believe for men to buy their girl a new watch . But then she may have held men's watches and made the guy think he would get a girl like her with a men's Elgin :-)

Hi manikin - I have seen lots of Elgin watches posted here - if they all lived near you they could drape all their watches on this little beauty!!!
