I found this where a tree had been blown over near livermore while hiking a few months ago. I don't know much about bottles, but i think this may be an old / rare one. any experts out there? is it worth anything? i wonder if the beer was any good?

My actual name happens to be John Ton. A friend found one of these bottles years ago at a swap meet and bought it for me - a unique gift to say the least!! I think it is worth about $5 because i have since bought a couple on Ebay... If you ever learn anything about the origins of the bottle (who owned the brewery for example) I'd love to know. I do know that one bottle was unearthed near Jamestown, CA -- John
Thank you John Ton. what a fascinating coincidence with your name. i was told that they are worth $60-100, but i have only seen them go from between $12 and 30, but there's only been a few and all before 2010. there is a little info online about the company, but if you write to some of the local beer bottle collectors, i'll bet they'll get you some more info.
