This jug has been in my mom's family for at least 150 years. It has a '53' on the bottom. It's very heavy and in excellent shape with no cracks of nics of any kind. This my mom felt was important as it was actually in her will to me. I can't find anything on line like it and am very curious as to what it is...it's history etc. Thanks again. I will post more later or give you better pictures of stuff if you'd like. (again I'm guessing at the category)

Thank you! Yes, my mom's family on her mom's side did come over from Holland I'm guessing about 150 years ago. Thank you again! I will look this up!

I went to a McCoy site and the closest I could come was a green jug, but it was more refined. But, yes the same type for sure! The painting on this jug I have is different, the dark blue is not precision like. Do you see what I mean? Ummm.

Thanks! I did find one exactly like mine after following your google, but it was with a company that I had to give my credit card number to, to find it's value. The other ones I saw were different in texture and the picture was different. So, McCoy was an American company? My mom's family way back came from Holland so I assumed they brought this one over.... Did McCoy copy this style from originals that were from Holland or was this an original design of McCoy. Ummmm. Gets more curious yet. ~L

Now I'm really wondering when and how my mom's grandmother would have gotten this from the US.

I found one, but it still confuses me. Here is the link for the one I've found: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blue-and-White-Stoneware-Dutch-Kids-Kissing-Pitcher-/261047138396?pt=Antiques_Decorative_Arts&hash=item3cc79f385c
You'll notice if you compare mine with this one, my jug isn't near a smooth of finish and the girl on mine is 'fatter'. You can see the differences if you bring both up at one time. I wonder why the differences in smoothness and the colour and pictures are not quite the same. Interesting...anyone know why mine is different from the others? Or is this common?
