they tell such stories about the way people thought and how that has developed, changed and even remains the same over time. here are 4 images i found in a book in the trash the other night. the book was a horribly racist book on India by Stoddard. I was particularly shocked by the title in the fourth image: 'Asking for more.' more of WHAT? Nothing? the images in this book are really beautifully done though - very much from the aesthetic movement.
i collect old books and magazines about art, architecture, gardening geography, design, and science. i particularly like ones w/ great or interesting illustrations.
