My honey surprised me with a couple nice gifts today, this is a nice little blotter that I didn't have so she snagged it. However, I quickly noticed it is a bit small (see pic 4) compared to another 40's blotter. Any insight on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting size. I know they produced smaller sized blotters to fit inside those Coca-Cola school pencil box sets, but even those were a different size than this one. I'm stumped.
