Found this interesting earrings at Flea yesterday. No markings on any part of the earring. Don't know if the black part is plastic, celluloid or what. Silvery looks like base metal to me and one of the faux pearls has been replaced. The floral appears to be fastened through the center of the black *plastic* (or whatever it is) and appears on the opposite end.
Your comments as always are welcomed.

It very well could be Bakelite. I've seen cloak/collar clasps in a somewhat similar design. Do tops and bottoms match like they were meant to be together?
Greetings davyd286. Tell me what you mean by ..."tops and bottoms match..."? Not sure what you mean... DD
