The author is Alberto Sartoris. This ink drawing belonged to my late friend who lived in Italy in in late 60's, then moved to France. Now it's hanging in my house. I'd love to find out what's happened to the artist (is he still alive) and his works.

    Hi Monika!
Are you sure it is not the same person? I'm no expert but if you have a look here you will see a few paintings by Albert S.

East & West Berlin meet ten years before the fall of the wall.
Love the tribute to Picasso as well.
Two aspects of the same face.
It is almost like a map of the former faces of Berlin.
His calligraphy is so accurate and the line continuous!
Thank you for sharing this great piece of modernism.

It is so nice that we have both Ugo and Alberto Sartoris represented on Collector's Weekly...and to have the honor of the presence of Michela, niece to Ugo and Alberto is just plain mind blowing!!! I am so happy to have found this amazing site and hope to get strong enough to post more treasures..what a great online learning site. I had had the "Ugo sartoris"David and Goliath" scupture for so long and it was a mystery wherever I asked until I posted it here, and I have met close friends and family of the artists, truly amazing. LOVE this A Sartoris drawing, it is beautiful. What talent in this family, Have fun, Michelle
