Dr. Al.......if you see this please comment on the shape. To me it looks like the shape on the green serpent vase you posted some time ago. This piece of course doen't have a snake.
Interesting to see a piece in this decor cut from the top ...
Closest match appears to be from Series II 759 which is documented in "Rubin Matt Iris" (page 115 in Ricke2) ... yours has a slightly taller rim ...
Thanks for sharing the pic ...
Sweet - I love this color and decor - I have a Dek I/117 on the way from France - can't wait to see it, and you piece makes me even more impatient... :)
SteveS : check out Alfredo's Loetz Rusticana posted 2 months ago. It looks like the same shape to me and is labeled 700. His also has a flat top and bottom. As we all know not all Loetz has a polished pontil.
bomemianglassandmore : you will love it. As they say it looks so much better in "real life".
Hi LB
How is your German ?
... Would love to see a good translation of the description of this decor in "Das Bohimische Glas - Band IV" ... Is appears to be along the lines that this decor technically (by way of technique) laid the ground for the Phenomenon genres which followed ...
Cheers
THANKS STEVE FOR THE INFO.........AND MY GERMAN IS ALMOST NIL.
