This watch was manufactured by Helbros Watch Company in 1971 with licence from Walt Disney Productions. It has a counter-clockwise mechanical movement, hence, the backwards numerals on the dial and the hands are also running backwards. Both Lorus and Pedre have copied this watch using a quartz movement as retrospective tributes. Thanks for looking.

VERY NICE George, LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you BELLIN68, AR8Jason, bobbee & Kerry for the Love and kind comments.
This is one of the most sought after Disney pieces, make no mistake, this is GREAT, with the box, tag and all the trimming. As they say on the movie ratings............. "Two Thumbs up". Thanks for sharing. Now I'll have to post mine, well you beat me to it, so I'll just look at yours. We don't need two of these posted. LOL
Sent you a email about a clock you might be interested in.
Kerry, we should have 'show & compare' on CW so that we can put ours side by side! LOL Cheers for the alarm clock link, will check it out.
We'll have to suggest that to Hunter and the others on the Staff. Maybe that will be the "Next" big change. I guess we could put them side by side, under the new "Save to Collection" feature.
Thanks for the 'Love' Dave & officialfuel.
My dad has this exact same watch! It's my fav!! Does anyone know the current market value of this piece?
Thank you, in advance!!
@ KerryJoy, I would hate to guess, in this condition(NIB) as Georges is, I've seen them sell for over $1500. I've never seen one sell for less that $500, and that's just a starting point for most of them. In a "used" model, you can look at least $125, and that might get you one, if nobody else see it. These are really sought after and not that easy .
@ KerryJoy, I have an old "Buyers" chart from 1980, It's listed in it as selling for $19.95 in 1972 and eight years later it had skyrocketed to quote Good-$37, Very good-$111,Mint-$185 and Mint in box-$225. With that in mind, the mint and mint in box should be 10X after 40 years from the last production of these pieces.
Thank you thisoldwatch & blunderbuss2 for the Love!
Cheers packrat-place!
hiyah GEO, I think this is the same Goofy that I wore and liked so much back in the sixties and seventies, looking at it now reminded me of how I got used to reading time backwards on Goofy, wonderful memories.
Thank you douglasgailwilliams for the 'Love'. It is great fun reading time backwards :-D
I have both a lorus that runs in reverse and a gold tone goofy head wristwatch both are in exceptional condition. The reverse could use a new band as it's deteriorating.
Thanks AR8jason for the Love click.
i want one :-)
