This was given to me to play with by one of my neighbors, as she wasn't entirely sure it worked. I was young, and fell in love with the style and simply placed in on my bookshelf to gaze at. My dad was pretty sure we couldn't get film or bulbs for it (although I bet we could have). The shutter seems to work fine, and there's no damage to it what-so-ever. 30+ years later, it still sits on a shelf commanding as much attention as it did when I first got it. I'd guess it to be from the 1950's. I never had the flash attachment.

(photo taken with Instagram, because Kodak went belly-up recently for not coming up with new technology...like Instagram!)

That's a nice early 1950's Hawkeye! It uses 620 roll film, and if you had the flash holder there are always bulbs available on eBay. The 620 film is stocked by B&H photo, and is 13.00 a roll. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/129751-REG/Kodak_TMX_620_T_Max_100.html I have one of these and I know they do take pretty good pictures.
