This is a Putnam's Automobile Handbook copyrighted and published in 1918 by G.P Putnam's Sons, New York & London, The Knickerbocker Press. The title page says for The Care and Management of the Modern Motor-Car. Written by H. Clifford Brokaw, Principal, and Charles A. Starr of the Staff of the Automobile School of the West Side Young Men's Christian Association (Y.M.C.A.) of New York City. It is an illustrated, hardbound, 348 page book with 48 Chapters with everything from How to Purchase a Car to The Golden Rule of Motoring. Some of my favorite chapters are "The Gear-Shifting Bugaboo", "Dont Run Away From A Fire", and "Women as Drivers" (special rules apply, LOL). There are only a total of nine illustrations in the entire book. I have included the 'Sectional View of a Modern Automobile with a Four Cylinder Engine' and the 'Sectional Views of a Four-Cylinder Engine'.
