I picked this model ship up at an estate sale this morning. It caught my eye the moment I walked in the room. It's roughly 14" long and has a description plate on the base that reads: " Brigantine 'Newsboy' of Boston 1854". Apparently this little ship would make runs from the New England harbors over to Europe carrying goods back and forth and obviously bringing any "news" with them from the Old Country. It's a very pretty piece and I'm sure it could be worth something but I have no clue how to find it's value as the model ships section of this website is non-existent. If you know any way of helping me find it's value, I would appreciate the help. For now- it will probably sit in my office once I dust it off a bit!
