I originally bought this clock for parts but decided to see if I could get it running, which I did. This clock is a Warren Telechron model 553 1 "Belmont" it was manufactured in 1928-30 it is a tambour and is made from Spanish mahogany with burl maple panels on each side. The clock is 17 1/8 inches long, 7.25 inches tall and 4.50 inches wide. She is quite and in great shape and retains her original rotor. There was 7,126 of these sold according to Telechron records. She is a beaut of a clock.

I did have to alter the plug situation; it did not have a female plug or cord so I removed the adapter from the back and hard wired it in. I did retain the adapter in case later on I find one later on to restore it. She is a pretty sight; I love the inlays on the front of the clock.

When I finished with the repairs I gave the clock a good waxing with Wax and Feed (made from Beeswax) excellent product. It amazes me in this age of consumer electronics that have a life of about 10 years at the most, that this clock is 84 years old and still runs beautifully. Harry Warren knew what he was doing back then.
