Could someone tell me how old this music box is? It makes lovely sound by winding the base and Mickey turns round and round. Thanks for looking.

geo26e,
I don't know how old it is, but found a web site that sells music boxes (www.storybookfigurines./Schmids/Mickey-As-A-Cowboy.html)
List Mickey As A Cowboy
This item is out of stock
Discription:
Schmid Music Box
Mickey As ACowboy
Disney Series
Height -6", 15.2 cm
Action - Rotates on pedestal base
Tune - Mamas don't let your babies
grow up to be cowboys.
Nice Item. Goes with my cowboy Mickey watch.
Dave
Dave, thanks for the information. The site says Schmid discontinued in 1995, so the music box is at least 17 years old.
Very Nice George, you're right on the date as around the early to mid 1990's.
George, did you read the response to your question "What does Services on the dial mean?" If not here's the answer:
"Services" is an English watch Company that was founded in Leicester by a Frank Liquorish sometime in 1926/27. They assemble watches for several decades and put their "Logo" on their finished pieces.
Kerry, thanks for the information on 'services. Do you know of any other Mickey watches or pocket watches made by them apart from the one you have shown?
Thank you Dave, musikchoo, Kerry and BELLIN68 for loving the cowboy Mickey.
George , as far as any other "Mickeys" I believe this is the only model, ever to be seen. I've had a lot of other people (Some that only collect Services watches) searching for another one of these, and only three others have ever shown up.
Thanks mustangtony for the love!
