I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this item is a fantasy item (may not be a bad thing for Disney)-- similar to the "Tiffany Buckles".
Most were made in the UK and imported to the US market in the 1960s and 1970s. Unfortunately many now show a good age patina and often fool unsuspecting collectors.
scott
scottvez,
I think I got this in the late 70's early 80's, so you might have pegged it.
Thanks Manakin for the appreciation.

Thanks mrmajestic 1 for the appreciation.

Dave, Scott has pegged this piece correctly. Good Job , Scott. I'm just glad he beat me to it, would have hated to be the bearer of the news.
I will add, that these are somewhat of a "collector" piece in it's own right. It's a bad thing, fantasy pieces are not goodies, but this and the belt buckle with the watch face and a few more, seem to have their own followings.
It looks good with all the rest of your Mickey stuff, and all-in-all, that's what a collection needs. Things that complement each other, be it an original or fantasy piece.
Thanks Vontrike & kerry10456 for the appreciation and thanks kerry & Scott for the information. I pick things up sometimes just because I like them. Not authentic does not bother me unless it was mis-represented to me.
Dave
Glad you knew what you were getting with this collector.
I have seen these and similar Tiffany buckles bring several hundred with unsuspecting buyers.

Scott,
If I paid over $1.00 for this back in the 70's - 80's my wife would have divorced me then!
Dave
Thanks Trgrubaugh for the appreciation.
Dave
doesnt matter Dave, if you luv it, thats all that counts. I bought a Champlain Winter King porcelain ( what i thought was a pump sign) & Oilman burst my bubble, but i still display i with pride right there with the "authentic" signs, Cause, i still love it!!!!
Thanks mikelikesigns2 for the appreciation.
