This is a watch by Rockford Watch Co., of Rockford, ILL. 1873 - 1915.
This is a Model 1, 18 size, Transitional (key wind or stem wind), lever set.
Serial No. 6579 manufactured 1876-1877.
It has an A marked on the barrel bridge by the winding post. I'm not sure what that means. Possibly a grade marking.
It is also a Private Label watch for Henry Korf, Cincinnati, Ohio.
A Jeweler, Henry Korf Jeweler, at 625 Main St. Cincinnati, Ohio established in 1849.
Henry Korf's son continued to operate the business until 1939.
