This is an original Maro "prince of Magic" stone lithograph window card from my private collection of Magic posters. It measures approximately
13" x 18" and is in excellent condition. Circa 1907 - Goes Litho

Edward Maro, born Walter Truman best, was one of the first successful headlining magicians on the Lyceum and Chautauqua circuits. he was a shadowgraphist, musician, and artist working from 1892 until his death in 1908. Maro died of Typhoid Fever after his last performance in Philadelphia. His lasts requests were to be buried in St. Charles and also have a 3-ton, 6-foot high boulder brought from Leland to St. Charles as his grave maker.

There is certainly a comical theme to this piece and a bit goofy as well. In my opinion, this is the best of all Maro's window cards. Thanks for the kind words Phil.
