Hopefully no one is offended by this, but I was attracted to the photography theme (photographer with wood & brass camera) as well as the oddly humerous sitting. As background, there was a time in early photography in which subjects were very nervous in front of a camera. I recently acquired an amazing 1850 book with a wonderful story of a farmer sitting for his first photograph. It seems that this is a recurring theme ... first haircut, first picture, etc. In researching Mokaska Coffee, it appears the company created numerous tradecards of varying themes and subjects. I'm a bit baffled by this particular choice of imagery, but from a photohistory point of view it tells a timeless story.
