im just seeing if anyone would be able to tell me how much it would be worth, i dont know the history of the item, it was in my house when i moved in, and i dont know how old it is either, im trying to figure it all out myself, needing a little help though

I'm not an expert, so please take this as just my opinion and subject to being overturned by someone more knowledgable than me.
This looks to me, like typical bedroom furniture from the 1960s or maybe '70s, mass produced and inexpensive. I don't see it as having much resale value. To me it does not look like an antique that has been refinished, although it might have been repainted as a newer piece.
