This is the first of these that I have seen. I do not think that this one is an original; it's most likely a reproduction because it is in exceptional condition, and there looks to be a formed plastic piece up inside. Also, the rubber feet are fastened with both glue and staples. The wheel crank turns freely, and the little metal hopper door works perfectly. The little grinding wheel down inside the unit turns, and it looks to me like it could actually grind coffee (if you could find some teeny tiny beans!) There is no drawer, just a false front where one would go. There's no rust, no patina, or evidence of any aging at all. Anyway, we think it's cute as the dickens. It's only about 6 inches tall.
