I was looking at purchasing this bike for a restore project. I am not sure at the value of this type of bicycle and wanted to check before purchasing. Any info on this would be appreciated.

Clean it up, but don't restore it.

I was wondering why you shouldn't restore this bicycle. i just purchased a Texas Rangerette. it's not in as good a condition as this one but I think it's soooooooooo cool. I am going to restore it mainly because I really like it. I don't have a clue what it would be worth. I would love to find a boys bike like this for my husband. hope you enjoy it if you buy it.

Ah, the ages old question..............to restore ....or...........preserve.....I guess it all boils down to what YOU want to do....The bicycle is yours, you paid for it and you own it. I would say do whatever makes YOU happy.... You are the next generation of those that make sure these thing are here for those that follow......But enjoy while you save...

Great looking bike, and I would probably restore it. It's in good enough condition that most of its original components could probably be used. An original in showroom condition would belong next to a Hopalong Cassidy in a museum.

I just bought a Texas Ranger Rangerette Quarterhorse bike, 20 inch with high rise handle bars, sissy bar and banana seat. Did it come this way? (girls bike)

I have both the Texas Ranger and Rangerette. I love them and they are worth restoring. I have so much fun riding the ranger. It's the best bike I own and rides like a Formula 1 race car. I'm amazed with the lines and solid ride of this frame. Does anyone have any ideas on locating new decals???
