The 942 is the model number. Your register was made in early 1920, probably March. A good place to go is http://www.brasscashregister.net. Check out the links page. Value is not that much since it isn't brass. Someday...maybe...but not now.

great register! I have only seen 1 other like this one and it was from the old D&D ford dealership in greer sc. They still have it in there used car show room with a huge do not touch sign on it. very nice.
