So I was walking down the street yesterday... Just kidding. This was a gift. A three gallon container from I have no idea when. Any comments on what to actually call this and date it would be helpful.

thanks for the L Bell....
I love these...I had one similar a few years ago and I think it's from 1920-30s... beautiful!
Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Co. (RRPCo) three gallon crock. From their "Crown" pottery line. I believe the early crown marking (circa 1920s to 40s) lacked the USA mark. I think the mark was re-released w/ the USA designation circa the 1980s or 90s?
No guarantees on production date, you'll want to research it more.
Thank you for the information -- so this could very well simply be a reproduction? Go figure...
With a little research it appears that the USA in the label was added after 1950 and onward. This is not so much a reproduction as a continuation of their old line. The umbrellas that stand in it really do not know the difference.
You know what -- I was was about to respond to that and I got distracted. Yes sad face on the not so old old piece. It seems I can find older stuff on the curb. And thank you for the L -- I was thanking Bell at the same time your were posting (little oversight there) One thing about this post --the whole thing appears to be a crock...
eye is just jealous because no one's given him a pot! (other than the one he pisses in) just kidding..............again.
