    I have two wonderful original gouache paintings that I picked up at a yard sale and I am trying to find out any information about them that I can. They both measure 14" wide X 21" high. The first is titled EL ESPIA (The Spy) and is dated 1936 and the second is titled ORDEN CUMPLIDA (Order Fulfilled) and dated 1937. They are both signed by the artist which I can't decipher exactly. It could be M. G. Martinez or maybe W. G. Martinez

    I will post a few close-ups of each as well. I really love these and hope to get some info on the artist. thank you in advance for any assistance.

      Your art looks like illustrations to me, maybe they were book covers or magazine illustrations. They have a very stylized and dramatic look. They are quite amazing!

      i've seen the name before and paintings like these before and i can't quite read the signature nor can i remember what they are. but they are wonderful! i love them.
