Hi,
I am wondering if anyone can help me.
I found this very old doll in a rubbish bag being thrown out when I was cleaning a vacant property. I can't find anything on the internet to help me identify what type of doll it is or how old. I have even searched costumes and outfits to no avail.
The body is material including the hands and feets, not sure whats inside the body, there are no markings on the head to identify the make, I have looked over the body and there are no markings either. The doll is 45cm long.
The clothes are very old and fragile and I don't want to damage them but the doll has many layers of clothing including a bag with a little hankerchief inside, socks, clogs and a bonnet. The bonnet has wire going under the dolls chin and also ribbons.
I really love this doll and my crazy imagination is that it belonged to a little girl on the Titanic as it has water damage on it's body. Well I do have a good imagination....
If anyone can help with what type of doll this is I would be very grateful.
Thanks,
Sue
