BELLIN68,

Dave
wow:) very cool :) lucky her :)
Hi Dave, nice Chime with the 124 movement.
You probably know this already since I believe you have Tran Duy Ly references but the model name is "Southbury 1W" circa 1941 found on page 180 of Ly's Seth Thomas book.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Kerry & Bruce for the information and appreciation.
I still get to enjoy it every time I visit.
Dave
You're very welcome. Does your daughter keep it running, or does she just display it decoratively? Our children eventually just display the mechanical clocks we've given them. They seem to fall out of the habit of winding them and then it's just too much trouble I guess... :( oh well...Thanks again for sharing it. I've not seen one before.
Bruce,
The last few years, it just adorns her piano. This digital world of the younger generation has just ruined the appreciation of these masterpieces. At least it didn't end up in a yard sale.
Dave
Yeah, that and the atomic accuracy of cell phone time. There's really no practical need for watches anymore either but I'll continue to wear them.
