Just found one of these amazing bikes. I understand Jay Leno has collected five of these. This one lived it's whole life in Los Angeles and is all original, the case has never even been opened! Need more detailed pics? murfysurf@live.com

My uncle had one of these he aquired in England while in the USAF. He took it apart and shipped it to the USA in parts and rebuilt it here. Same year and model.
Also had a Norton Dominator 500cc (not sure of year). He is the one that left me all his motorcycle magazines and advertisement brochures from the late 1940's all the way up to early 1980's when he died. Beautiful bike.

Beautiful. Probably the pinnacle of Brit Iron!

Absolutely gorgeous. I envy. I can send my address & get a really big Christmas stocking made if you like?

Good for you. I'd love to have somethin like this. In 1948 the Black Shadow was the world's fastest production motorcycle at 125 mph, Also Rollie Free set a record on one (some say it is a Lightning) at 150 mph in 48 at Bonneville. The bike sold in 2010 for $1,000,000.
