As you can see he fell over in field . The heat is dreadful and no rain
This is a Vintage 1977 Milky the Marvelous Milking Cow Toy.
Black and White Holstein Cow. Made of Hard Plastic.
Retains original metal cowbell
Marked on leg: General Mills Fun, Group, Inc. 1977.
Measures 10 3/4" tall (top of horns) x 14" long
This belonged to my Grandmother and she proudly displayed it . I had bought one for my son the year they came out and remember there was a pail and some liquid you put in cow so you could milk her . Her head pushes down and she moo's
We love our cows in Wi so rain and heat relief is needed soon for our friends .

hmmmm, what program (browser) do you use for the internet? (ie. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) It should be there in the drop down box when you add a new post - just under "Tools & Hardware." Let me know if it's still hidden!

Thank you Kevin for stopping :-) My kids grew up on a farm and I spent every summer as a kid on farm them lived on one after that full time . I can ya we knew where the milk came from as we had to milk . Pre Machines and then with machines . I thought of it as a novelty toy to play farmer ? They were also informative to non farm kids to pretend . I must have loved it because I thought my son needed one and he played with it a lot . My Grandmothers this one sat in her formal front room next to a beautiful stained glass lamp . She saw them as equally beautiful . She loved her cows and she even let them come into side of farm house which was attached to kitchen and they could look in window :-) Memories and a stroll back to the farm . AS YOU MANIKIN , THE ONLY REASON WHY I WAS LAUGHING IS BECAUSE OF THE HEAT AND EVEYTHING ELSE and you know i live in the same state as you , but this was very cute with the toy :) the toy cow getting heat stroke.
Bellin I thought it fit into the weather and I found him in storage and thought of the dry fields and heat . Poor ole Bessie just couldn't take it when I took her outside . She passed out . Glad I mad you laugh we love laughing . PS To any animal lovers a disclaimer no animal was hurt during this photo shoot :-)
I think you better get Bessie back in the barn to cool down.

LOL Kevin , can they make yogurt I prefer that . It is so hot here the fish have jumped out of the lakes and begged to be caught and put in a freezer . We are not supposed to be like TX I tried that and it was to hot now it is here . Enjoy your ice cream tonight . Me and Sean since he is so close by will see if if we can get anything out of old Bessie . Frozen Yogurt is good but she just refuses to get in freezer ! Very stubborn cow :-)

Morning Kerry. I think we are in for a long hot summer . I don't like the heat or very cold I am fussy I like San Diego weather it was nearly perfect year round . Then up rooted to Wi can you imagine a parent doing that LOL . I must have been really bad to have to move :-) Hope all is good by you and your holding up to heat also .Thanks for coming by today :-) I think we had a pasture story lol
Not as hot today, lower 90's. but back up after the start of the new week. I'm home today, because I'm just a big sissy and needed to use up some sick pay, LOL. Stay cool and enjoy the day.

We live in old 1870-ish villa which originally had hundreds!! of acres of dairy land attached to it, we bought it five years ago with four acres from the recent dairy farm (much smaller) who sectioned it off from his main land and built a new home on the other side of his land. (not as beautiful as this old place). We are surrounded by these lovely gentle dairy cows.
Got the fire burning here staying warm!!.....:-)

There is nothing like living on a farm and the sight of the cows comming down the trail back to barn and they smell of fresh hay :-) Thank you inky for stopping by and sharing your lovely farm story :-)

And Hedge ya know when bellin says his items are empty does he say how they got that way ? If a little tipping going on at his house .
