A friend has asked me if anyone could tell her a bit about this item, especially what it is made of. She believes it to be a snuff box, although it is very small (1.1/4" wide) and it was found in her mum's belongings after she died. It feels like a dense plastic, has the look of tortoishell but not the shine, also looks a bit woody, and is very light. Anyone seen anything similar? Thank you for looking.
