. Each earring is signed with an unusual maker's mark. The mark resembles a lower case letter r with a period or dot below it and a circle(?) in the partial curve of the letter (see photo # 6.) C within a circle (copyright.) 96 (1996.) STER. The earrings are a fine example of jewelry produced during the art deco era, with clean lines, vivid colors and meticulous detail. The clips are sterling silver, marked 925.
