Some singer/songwriter from the 1960s said "You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows." In this Pogo cover from Jan-Mar 1954, Albert has relied on a weather report rather than common sense before heading off to the ski slopes. Naturally, there's not a cloud in the sky...

Inside, Albert is outraged that the "gummint" doesn't appear to care about "gals in distress," to which Pogo replies "You is all mixed up, as usual." Thank goodness for that.

On the back, we see the price of a subscription has dropped from $1.20 for eight issues, which was the going rate less than a year earlier, to $1 for 10 issues. Did I mention already that this was issue No. 15 in a series that only went to 16? Anyone know how Dell made subscribers whole?
