Mieke Groot 34 cm high, top 5.5 cm wide, base 7 cm wide signed Mieke Groot 98. black red free blown ,enameled ( sand- enamel mix ). After the Brick- Objects http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/61685-mieke-groot-born-1949?in=441, Mieke starts more and more to hide the glass core with many layers of sand and enamele mix fired between each layer as a result of the many firings the enamele skin dries and crackes open ( photo 4 ) it is bright red very fine enameled ( cant get the color exactly right and very black)the black very thick enameled looks like molten lava i love the shape and the contrast in color and texture
