I believe this to be a "mail holder" Not really sure about how old it is. It is enamel on metal done in the "Art Nouveau"motif. Some of the detail on this tells the story of a piece dating back some years. If anyone could share more info, that would be great.

I think it was in that hotel in France and looks vintage . My friend lived in France many many years ago and did live in a hotel . It would not surprise me to have these for room to get mail at or at front desk ? I vote vintage and very cool ! Appears to made of tin ?

Thank youManikin, Rob in Hawaii.......It definately is vintage and not new. I say this because of the black pitting it has to the metal. I will try an post another pic. For some reason it didnt let me post 4 last night..Also it positively does not have the feel of a repro. Thank you both for your comments.........

My mother had a similiar one back in the late 30's. It was porcelain white with blue trim .She kept it mounted on the wall for misc items. same shape and about 7 or 8 inches wide.
