What area of country did you find it ? Was it buried ? Very nice !
Missouri and I found it on the surface. Thanks very much!
I love the color with the bit of orange/red . Is it mozarkite ? I used to find these as a young girl in New Mexico and AZ not the color of yours it is striking . That is why I wondered where it was found . What a lucky find today as a young girl we traveled through the deserts every year cross country and you could find so many old Indian artifacts but not anymore . I collected them all and I guess one day my Mom threw them away on a move .
Its made of burlington that is usually a creamy white but this has heavy creek stain. The Southwest seems like a neat place. I have heard about wind blowing the sand around (hardpan?) and revealing lots of stuff. Thanks again:)
Really cool find -- love it!
Thanks Trunkman, same here!
