Yes, actually bought 3 together; one didn't have the butterfly; but sure it is still vintage; was very tickled with the set! And yes, the heat has been scorching, so think you have the right idea :)
I know that they cranked out a lot of copies. Bought a few of the lady sitting (knowing they were copies) for friends. (Card holder) Any tips, other than the "feel" for things to look for?

I think Desna is still making them; I know the one you are talking about; and I think the glass on these is not near the right quality for the Hoffman; a lot of the Desna's are marked; but I have hears sometimes the name is taken off? that is why I like the butterfly; don't think I have seen that mark reproduced; but definitely no expert......:)
