Greatsnowy…
(119 items)
I got the perfume with the stopper recently ( so rare to find one with a stopper) and decided to take a group shot. The big blue butterfly piece has a marked twin with a gigantic crack. I'd puttied it down so it wouldn't move around. big mistake. the bottom came right off it when I tried to take a photo. ah well. gotta get some glue I guess. :)
thought I'd share the grouping with everyone

A great group portrait!
Fabulous 'scrap book' enamels!
Love the flowers especially!
I've never heard the term scrapbook enamels.. I like it..
Beautiful!! The butterflies are gorgeous!
yup. Mostly mirrored. the butterflies are not identical. but a mirrored pair in that it's the same design but with two different butterflies. unfortunately the better butterfly (at least to my eye) is on the broken vase.
Gorgeous !
what's funny is that the mark is a vase just like the blue ones with an R on the inside. I wonder if this vase shape was what they considered their trademark shape a that point in history. (this mark was also on a vase in the jablonec museum as Riedel which is how I know what it is)
I bought them as a pair. they said the only reason they were selling both of them is the marked piece was the one with the extensive crack that goes from rim to base and circled most of the base. I don't know how it cracked quite like that.
I had it puttied down and taped. When I tried to unputty it the whole base just snapped off. it was totally clean. I've not seen anything like it before.
Very Beautiful!!
Three months later .... still beautiful
