I have an old baseball mitt that I purchased from a garage sale when I was about 9-10 years old. I can not find any information on it. It is a Rawlings mitt, with Babe Ruth written on the palm. Below the Ruth sig., it says Hinged Pad. On fingers of palm side top it says Rawlings and below that I can make out part of the model number which is --2X. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Email cruisingusa@yahoo.com.
Thanks,
J

this is really cool im 12 and i love babe ruth and baseball
It's a first base mitt from the 30s. Someone simply wrote the Babe's signature in the palm. It is not a Ruth model glove. Probably a $20-$30 piece tops in this condition. Rub Vasoline on it to preserve it and make it look better;)
