Is it Cast iron? Take a pic of the back so we can see....
Hey jsw14,
I added the pic. you requested, but it's not showing up.I even tried to send you a pic. of something that IS cast iron but went to the support people.Still learning I guess.
Is it possible to send photos privately I mean not the whole world to see,if we wanted?
I'll try again. Have you seen this sign before? What kind of stuff are you into?
Nice to meet you.
Ah Ha! it worked this time.
Sure, Send it too> jack_cathy@bellsouth.net Nice to meet you too!
IMO, It looks like the sign is part of a big one put together with screws... Cause of all the holes around the edge. Thats all I know just by the pic's....
Good Eye!
Thanks for looking.
1905 to 1928, I would say pre-prohibition though.
Thanks VikingFan,I was wondering what makes you say 1905? Talked to an X-employee ofWienhard, his guess 1856-1932, 1856 being when the Brewery began.1932 of course being prohibition.
Thanks for your input.
Take care. DMK
Buy a tube of Flitz and polish this up.It will improve drastically
Oh sorry! I never responded! Because those are the years that it was simply known as "Weinhard". Although a partial sign, the curve of the word around the logo leads me to believe it simply says "Weinhard".
ArtstudiomgrArtstudiomgr Good To Meet You.
Glad To See You Love The Sign.
Cheers!!!
