Carte de visite (CDV) of an African American boy in a photographers chair.
The clothing is typical of Civil War era clothing that mimicked the military uniforms. The boots seem to be a little tall for the Civil War era so the image may be a little later.
Mounted on thin cardstock of the CW era.
The back has the subjects ID in period pencil but no photographers backmark.
Reproduction of this image in any form is not authorized.
