    This is a 18 x 22" oil on canvas painting by Mandel. I purchased it from Decker Studios in Norfolk, VA around 1985 from a local artist I believe. However, Decker Studios also had other studios, of note one in Greenwich, CT.

    I am trying to find out about the artist. Abraham Mandel, Howard Mandel...neither one seems to fit.

    I didn't think much about this purchase, except of my fondness of it, until a few years back on HGTV the current host on Sarah's House with her first series did a room in NYC. And lo and behold was one of this artist's paintings which the client wanted the whole bedroom designed around.

    Has this artist become noted?

    Does anyone recognize who this is?
