This is a Bayard French Art Deco mantle clock. It is made of emperador marble and accented with applied bronze medallions on each side of the bezel. The dial is marked "8 Day" and the back is marked "4976 2 Two Jewels 8 Days Lever Movement Made in France". This clock measures 12 3/4" long, 2 3/4" wide and 5" high. It is in very good cosmetic condition with a few very minor bumps on the edges--not at all noticeable or excessive. The clock keeps excellent time.

stunning clock:)
Lovely clock. Bayard (Duverdrey & Bloquel originally) are amazingly study mechanisms. According to the catalogues I have, this particular model was first offered for sale in 1934.
Sushi,
Thanks for the date update, I was going by what the vendor said on the post when I bought it.
