I GOT HER AT ESTATE SALE SHE JUST GREAT ,I LOVE OLD CAST IRON THINGS AND SHE IS BEST PIECE I HAVE EVER FOUND ,
I HAVE LOOK ALL OVER THE NET AND CAN'T FIND MUCH ON
THINGS LIKE HER ,NOTHING JUST LIKE HER AT ALL WOULD
LOVE TO KNOW A MAKER IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS PLEASE
LET ME KNOW,SHE IS A LITTLE RUSTY BUT THAT IS FROM AGE.
WELL HERE SHE IS ,SHE IS MADE OF CAST IRON AND I THINK FROM THE MID 1800'S AND HAS SOME GREAT DETAIL IN THE FACE AND THE HAIR AND SHE HAS COUPLE OF LITTLE DUCKS FOLLOWING HER AS SHE WALKS THRU HER GARDEN, SHE IS 37 INS HIGH AND ABOUT 18 INS WIDE SHE IS HOLLOW ON INSIDE I THINK A SANDCAST MOLD , I THINKS SHE IS WHAT YOU CALL RUSTY GOLD FOR SURE,WOULD BE GREAT CENTER PIECE FOR A GARDEN,WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT YALL THINK ON THE WORTH OF SOMETHING LIKE THIS , I WISH I HAD A GARDEN THAT I COULD REALLY SHOW HER OFF IN THE CENTER OF IT ALL, ANY COMMENT ON HER WOULD BE NICE , SO HOW DO YOU THINK I DID ,LET ME KNOW THANKS LOUIS W.     HELLO-THIS IS A NICE PC-THEN IM READING ABOUT IT AND MY JAW DROPED WHEN YOU SAID ITS CAST IRON!! NOW THATS A MINT PC'! O-MY!! I CANT BELIVE IT-HOW AND WHY WOULD THAY MAKE THAT OUT OF CAST?THAT MOST OF BEEN FOR FOR SOMEONE VERY RICH-OR FOR A BUILDING OR SOMETHING! BUT I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT CAST-OTHER THEN THE TUB'S WEIGH A TON!!:):)--YOU SAID YOU LIKED MY CAST POT-W/THE TOP!     thanks codydogg i love this old piece it is cast and it is very old i think mid 1850's or little later ,but she neat and i think what you said about must of been someone who had some bucks to have had her in the middle of the garden and when i say garden i mean someone who pays someone to keep there garden up, like on a nashville plantion owner back in the 1800's ,thanks louis w.
