a friend brought me this plaque as a gift last night. it's only 4" x 3", but it's got a lot of character. it was very nice of him to give it to me. there are four numbers in the oakland telephone number. i wonder if i can use that to date it. ??

Was it dug up? Get the prefix and give them a call (-:
The company was started in 1906 and are still in existance.
i can't find any reference to them past the 1950s and we have way too many prefixes to do that. i really don't think they're in existence anymore, but definitely a cool piece!
Great piece, I wonder if they had a name change some where along the line?
they filed for bankruptcy - i think in the 50s, but it was kind of hard to tell.
