This I believe is a watercolor done in 1920 I think it is signed M Huber 1920, it is 10 1/2" X 8". Frame is old and back says it was put in by Bert C. Powers Camera Shop Photographic Supplies 523 Main Street Peoria Ill. I like the ducks and Chickens! I searched internet many times for M. Huber and found nothing. It seems like a good quality painting, but maybe he is good amateur! I like it even if he is not famous! But if anyone knows I would appreciate help. Maybe name is different than M. Huber? Huhea? or I do not know! toracat

Just a guess. Can it be by 'Bernice M. Huber? I am now curious and I am going to see now if I can find out anything about painting. I will let you know if I do.

Pretty sure toracat meant Lakeview Museum, not Lakeville. Peoria now has a big, fancy new museum called the Riverfront Museum. Yeah, it is right on the bank of the Illinois River. Also, I sure hope that this painting is not still under the mat shown in the images. See how the acid in the mat is discoloring the painting. The first thing I do with an old watercolor like this is change the mat, or if it is a really nice Frenct mat, I line it with acid free paper.
